South Cumbria Network Friendly Gala 2019

In collaboration with Ulverston ASC and Barrow ASC, Carnforth Otters are proud to be hosting the first South Cumbria Network Friendly Gala.
Please note there are no regular training sessions on this day.
This friendly team gala is aimed at our developing swimmers aged 9ys/under – 11 yrs, who have not yet experienced team events and although this is a non-licensed event, it will be run in accordance with ASA Laws and Technical Rules.
Being part of a team event is a great place to start for our younger swimmers and are both fun and rewarding, and through this, we hope to show our developing swimmers what it is like to compete and encourage them to take that next step into individual competitions, as well as giving them a positive experience in team events.
Swimmers in the team should be on poolside at Salt Ayre for 3:45pm for a briefing. Warm up will start at 4:00pm.
Please ensure you bring:
- Carnforth club kit i.e. shorts, t-shirt (please put your name in your kit)
- A drink for poolside
- Racing goggles and spares
- Carnforth Otters swim cap
- A big voice for cheering
- Snacks like dried fruit are great for poolside
- No phones, iPads or computer games are allowed on poolside
Entry fee for spectators will be £3 per person and as usual we will be running a raffle so any donations will be gratefully received.
