2019 AGM – Supporting your club

We will be holding our AGM on Weds 11th December, 7.15pm at Salt Ayre Party Room.

All parents, carers, aunts, uncles, grandparents etc etc are invited and this is a great opportunity to get to know a bit more about how the club is run.

As you know, Carnforth Otters is run on a purely voluntary basis. To ensure that we can keep all areas of the club running as well as we would like, there is a need for new people to step forward and help so that we can fill the gaps left by parents whose swimmers have moved on. Joining the committee and having a voice is a great way to help take the club forward.

Every year, we encourage nominations for ALL positions on the committee as well as general members. If you have experience or interest in marketing/publicity, writing (we need more people to write occasional reports following swimming meets), time keeping, photography, taking registers, helping with Microleague, looking after club kit, generally helping out or anything else you see us doing, or not doing – please come and tell us.

Don’t worry that you feel that you don’t know anything… full support will be provided.

We all have work and other commitments. A group of people who can commit a couple of hours from time to time can achieve a lot more than one person committing 4 or 5 evenings!

If you would like to be proposed, then please complete the Otters Election of Committee Members Form and return it to Mike Adamson (Chairman), Jill White at the shop or any other current committee member by Saturday 7th December 2019.
